Not sure if I love the big over the top backswing. But seeing as you are a larger guy it may be a necessity due to bodytype. Nice release. Looks like the disc comes out very clean and your balance looks to be excellent at the point of release.

Your form looks better than mine, I'm sure of that (although I do think my wind up looks more natural;-)... How far are you throwing?

My neck keeps getting sunburned, hence the hat...lol.

Details: The furthest throw there was about 285-300 with a 150g champ valk. The other two were 260-280 175g arachangel and 170 glow tbird.

I guess my frustration is if my form isn't completely hideous, why do I max out at 290ish? I am 37, that could be part of it.

All three shots were dead straight, maybe only 10 or 12 feet high.

Due to losing approx 160 lbs over the last four years, I am just now becoming more athletic than I have ever been, so we'll see.

Thanks for all the resposes thus far.

If your maxing at only 290'ish, then it sounds to me like you are missing snap... With a fluid arm swing and snap, I can throw 300ish... Plus with a 150 valk, the flight should not be dead straight, even on a hyzer flip... There are way more knowledgeable ppl on this site than myself, but with snap, a 150 valk should be flipping pretty hard, like, from asteep hyzer release, to an anny flight

If your problem is distance you may want to look at your whole body working together. Your left arm seems to be flying somewhat wildly against the grain of your body turn. It looks like it may be holding your body back a little from turning through the whip cleanly. A little more knee bend in your second step may help with your body turn as well.

You may be looking for distance but I'm willing to bet that with your current style you are pretty accurate. Remember that you may be giving up some of that pinpoint ability when adding D.

maybe lose that first step in your x-step

less steps should help consistency in your x-step , and make it less walkey and more bouncey imo

what works for one person isnt gonna work for everybody , so take everyones advice and figure out whats comfortable for you.

try throwing something more overstable (mid 160s weight) and using just a little anny , that should help you get more d before the fade kicks in. keep the s-turn low and tight just like your throwing now
