I would review Flyboy with a 5.0 if it wasn't "extinct". It is on a different level than every other course i played, inlcuding Deer Lakes and Hawk Hollow (sorry John).

I gave Hawk Hollow a 5 for a while. I agree with you on Flyboy, there is nothing else like it.

You guys are going to make me think about Flyboy all night and then I'll think about how I probably won't get to play it again til next year... that **** was amazing. It's so badass you completely overlook the fact that you play across a neighborhood road like three times.

In 2 days I do not think I saw a single car on the road.

JRawk:

What would you discount Deer Lakes for. I only ask, because that is my "Holy Grail" of courses so far.

Granted, I played it the day before a NT event, so it was perfectly groomed. That said, I couldn't find much to fault there. There were maybe three holes that I didn't fall in love with, but the tees and layout were as good as I've seen.

I wish I could ride again....!

I said "most people."
You sir, are not most people... you're a Prerube.

^Amen about Flyboy! I feel fortunate to have played some truly killer courses, and courses that are fives WOW! me in some way... I feel it when I 'm playing, and when I walk away from that last basket. Each of them wow's me in a different way, that's what makes them unique. Deer Lakes is phenomenal, but it didn't wow me the way Flyboy, Flip, Idlewild, Toboggan, Steady Ed Headrick Memorial did. I was closer to giving Moraine a 5.0 than I was Deer Lakes.... but that's just me.

I'm with ya prerube. I allways point out every reason I can think of why I thought a course was worthy of a .5 or 1 disc. It helps make sure that we have proper ratings for all courses. I recently reviewed Wolf Creek Park. The previous three reviewers had given it a 2 and two 2.5s. I was really let down when I got there and discovered a course that really didn't live up to that at all. Me giving it a 1 might have even been a generous score. I'm working my way up to prerube status, but there's just not enough revewers in my area. There are only 2 other TR's within 300 miles of me.
