with 17 players the payouts will be:
1st - 5 discs
2nd - 3 discs
3rd - 2 discs
4th - 1 disc
5th - 1 disc

So the top finishers keep their own discs, right?

What if they put all theirs into the pool too? Then payouts might look like:

1st - 7 discs
2nd - 4 discs
3rd - 3 discs
4th - 2 discs
5th - 1 disc

Just a thought...and it has almost nothing to do with me sitting in 4th place

haha, yeah, i considered both ideas. i decided on winners don't send a disc, they only receive discs.

i'm pretty sure they are taking 72 players for the open field, and 72 players for the performance system field.

Cool. I was worried about having to learn about a huge field of 900-975 rated guys if we were playing the handicap scoring.

what i mean by this is that you can pick whoever you want that is playing open and some of those players have very low ratings.

just want to make sure that no one is reading in to what i said. i don't know anything about handicaps or anything like that.
