This stuff is all pretty subjective, and I don't really care about anyone's pos or neg opinion about any disc or company, informed or otherwise. Make it funny scores points.

It's just gotten to the point that, the whole "legend of the starry-eyed MVP fanboi" post has started giving me the . Didn't mean to call anyone out, though, it's a widespread phenom.

@ Hammer

x3 on the current N volts (and apparently the P Volts.) They really don't seem to like to turn at HS.

Like I said earlier, this "light" blue one I just got kind of reminds me of a Tbird, the way it resists the turn. At my power (< yours, I think) it starts to fade a bit sooner than a Tbird, but fades much slower.

Onemilemore: I see lots of people say MVP is consistent, and rightfully so. Yes, they've tweaked things, yes I've had a lemon or two, but they still exhibit a good deal of consistency. The only claims of perfection I've witnessed are people complaining about fanboys. I've never seen a so called fanboy say MVP has perfect consistency, or any company for that matter.

That being said every Ion I've bought in 2.5 years has flown identical, and the last Neutron Axis I got from MVP flies exactly the seme as the orange tester I got before they were released to the public. Every 2nd run - current run Shock has flown the same, every P volt has flown identical, every Anode has flown identical, every Tensor has been perfect, every Tangent has flown identical, every pre-tweak and post-tweak N volt has flown identical to the others from the same batch etc. I've thrown two flippier than expect Vectors and my tester Amps flew unexpectedly and that's it. That's a good track record for me, and I throw a ton of MVP. I've lost more than most have thrown.
Trust me, I know that MVP strives for consistency and tends to be moreso than others. I just feel that, by some, their consistency has been overstated. I do appreciate that they fix their process when quirks happen and always seem to be learning from what they have done previously.

I am no MVP hater by any stretch. Hell, this time last year I spent a month throwing only MVP because it was fun to do. It's just that it is also fun to poke the bear sometimes, especially when said bears tend to be of the more sensitive nature.

I will use it to my advantage. Its why I roll with p-pd, s-pd and c-pd. It's a useful characteristic albeit, yes, inconsistent between plastics. As long as there is relative certainty it's all gravy, you know? It was something I thought I could use to the advantage of my friend. It happens. I still think the volt is a good disc, I just wish I had kept current on this thread before I spent my friend's money. I feel it is a significant change in the flight pattern. I will try to beat his neutron in a bit.

Still a good disc. *shrug*

Are these a bit sensitive? I've been throwing a 170 volt the last few days and seems slightly flippy.

Early Volts have some mild high speed turn and take some hyzer to keep straight past 320' or so in my experience. Could be you have one of those.

So is MVP done messing with the PLH on the n/p volt? i was just used to the early run volt and now all of the sudden they remove the HSS turn with the new run of the proton volts and they just fly straight with a little more fade.

I love both versions of the volt, but damn, thought they would leave the original flight alone and make a new mold if they wanted to tweak it.

so far it looks like the new volts will beat in and be just like a fresh first run volt.. which is great, just unexpected form a company as consistent as MVP has been
