This feels like its turning into a "stable means overstable not straight" type of argument.
Agree to disagree i suppose. In basic terms you could call it a flip but its going about its progression to flat from hyzer very slowly. Moving laterally a ton before getting there. I use what i call Hyzerflips to go very straight, sooner without as much driftin side to side.
Semantics? Maybe.
Possibly the throw im using is just "more" of a hyzer flip and i dont think of the other throw as one because its not viewed by me as a utility shot. I call it a utility shot because i can throw straight and not use a hyzer flip or tight s shot, it just requires a wider fairway. Much like the throws on the video. If that fairway were 1/3 as wide id bet id see a shot more like what im describing.

Those were his first throws with the Ti Buzzz. I bet he could get them on a dead straight line with the same throw. The slow turn from hyzer actually seems to help me keep the disc on a straight line. With a disc that turns more abruptly, I have more trouble keeping straight.

I would think it just depends on the person. Either way, it is still the same throw, and what each person calls it is apparently different.

^^ This. How and why does this even become muddied with discussion? lol. It's not an exaggerated hyzer flip like we may think of with, say, a Leopard or Valkyrie, but those throws are every bit textbook hyzer flip. Hyzer, flips to flat...done. No more definition needed. What the disc does after if flips to flat just depends on the stability of the disc, the power put into the throw, the level of spin, and the wind.

If I release on a hyzer and it turns over I call it a hyzer-flip-turnover, that seems like the easiest way to describe the shot so other people know what I mean.

Ok...so TI Buzzzes can hyzer flip if you are Nate Doss. What about the other Buzzzes out of the box, non-beat by guys who aren't Nate Doss?

Buzzes can behyzer flipped. Any kind. Any stable disc can be hyzer flipped if you have the snap.

I hyzer-flip my Ti Buzzz From time to time, I'll use my ESP for that usually, nut occasionally I'll use the Ti. And I promise you, I'm no Nate Doss.

I cannot personally hyzer flip a Buzzz. That term in my mind is bringing a disc from at least a 45 degree hyzer angle all the way over to any sort of annhyzer angle. I personally have never seen anyone with enough power to do that without using some sort of OAT. I can no longer impart OAT intentionally so it is beyond my reach.

If I throw a disc with 5 or 10 degrees of hyzer, it flips to flat, goes x feet then fades, that's also a hyzer flip. There is no specific degree of hyzer you must use and flipping a disc to flat is as much of a hyzer flip as anything else. These are the types of hyzer flips I use with discs like a buzz or axis. To me a hyzer flip is any shot released hyzer that turns during flight towards flat or anhyzer.
