4x JK Pro Valk, 167g
I'd say it's about 6-7/10 using Prerube's recently posted guidelines (I'm trying to be conservative), but in pretty good condition overall. Given that it's an obvious thrower, I'd think the ink on bottom isn't that big a deal. No serious gouges in the rim, but there are a few minor scuffs and one moderate whack, but nothing bad enough to really show up in pix (3rd photo shows worst part of rim)
I've thrown it a bit and do like it, but I'm not all that big on vintage plastic, so I'm not sure if I should keep or sell. If I can get a few quality discs for it, I might be willing to trade. Not quite sure what it's worth. 4x would put it around 2002 (Korver won her 4th in 2001, and her 5th in 2003).

Is the beast old mold or new? Same comparison as Eagle x and Eagle l.

I believe it's old...If I'm correct the difference between the Eagles are one rim is slightly concaved whereas the other is not, correct? If so, the Beast is flat. It's dated 2003 if that helps.

With that stamp it is an old mold beast. It looks pretty pearly, so that helps you. If its max weight 25, more to the right buyer. Lower weights drop the price and really low (<167) really hurts the price.

The new mold is smooth all the way to the edge. The old mold has a lip on the end of the wing.

I'll post a picture of the bottom, cause I clearly have ZERO idea, hopefully it works. Stay tuned.
Edit: Picture is posted, don't think this helps much, but I couldn't figure out a good way to take a picture of the rim... Last edited by Murderous Monkey; 09-02-2012 at 10:29 PM. |

I thought it was an old mold right off the bat too. The stamp dates it as 2003 PDGA World Champ. It's scaled at 177g, so it's definitely heavy.
