HoD for Wed, 7/25/12: Jim Warner Memorial in Appling, GA
Jim Warner Memorial at the IDGC
Hole #18: Short = 520', Long =617' no pix of short tee. Well treed with significant elevation. Starts out level, goes downhill to the creek (about halfway down the fairway), plays uphill from there most of the way to the basket (on level ground). Tee Sign: ![]() Long Tee: ![]() Basket to Tee: ![]() Course Map (not imbedded 'cause it was huge when I did that). Wonderful course, well maintained, great complex, nice park. If you've never been to the IDGC, grab some friends and do it! You won't regret it.

Great course, and great complex. This is a tough finishing hole, I disced down to a roc off the tee, and threw another roc shot from there. Left myself a 35' putt, missed short and took a 4.

Think I threw a JLS for most of this (cause I can keep that pretty straight) but it's since got flippy and I recently lost it,
so probably a Star Leopard or XL - something that doesn't fade hard, so I have a decent lie for the next shot. If I recall, it opens up a bit near the creek, before getting woodsier further down the fairway.Note the nice raked/textured tee pads - grippier than FLX plastic that's been in a hot car all day!

Like Mash said, I'd probably go with a couple of Roc shots down the middle and play for an easy 4. Most likely a lot of score separation on this hole, and an easy 3 looks pretty tough.

I think I'm going to through the GL River on this hole. Roc for the upshot and Aviar to finish.

I'd probably throw a Buzzz downhill, try to get to the creek. From there, comet or buzzz depending what side of the fairway i am on. Probably taking a 4 on this one.
