Fan Grip?!?!

So I found out one of our local pros drives with a fan grip, all the time. Apparently heaven on his 500+ drives he's using a fan grip. Anybody know of others that do this? I thought that was insane and it intrigues me to try it to possible gain accuracy. What's your guys take on this?

I'm not a pro by any stretch of the imagination, but I use a fan grip for all BH throws.
Several folks that I have played w/ have commented on my "index finger on the rim" technique.
It's the way I throw and I've tried switching to a power grip several times, but I lose all control.
Go figure...

I use a fan grip or modified fan grip for about 98% of my throws.

Cool to know I thought it was ridiculous. I'm the opposite I power grip everything, but modify slightly for putters or discs with deep rims.

Fan Grip(s), as opposed to Fans of the Grip.

Pix showing:
1) Index finger wrapped
2) Index finger on bottom rim
3) Finger along rim
