I'm at about 245lbs right now. About 5' 11" so yea, I'm a pudgy kid. I'm pretty strong, but I'm still big so.. Anywho, I've been playing for just over 2 years and I'm 17yo. I can throw over 350' consistently and around 400' on a good throw. The key is practice. I'm not a great player, but I play a lot and distance is something I pride myself on. I also play about 5 rounds a week. Just keep practicing and it'll come. I still want to be able to throw farther, but ever since I've practiced a lot, I keep getting better.

I am 6'1" and was up to 235 about a year and a half ago, and was getting kind of soft in the middle. In the last few months I have been swimming about 1000-1200m 3x per week and also occasional pickup basketball and running on the track. All this has really cut into my disc golf practice, but still, surprisingly I am seeing added distance on my drives. I really think it is because of abdominal and back strengthening from the swimming, but it probably doesn't hurt to be 20 lbs lighter.

If its a lil harder to get a quick, clean pull id suggest to focus on weight shift & balance, grip & improving grip strenght, and wrist snap & timing.
There is a lot of truth in there... he set course records at an event held by me back in early July on two different courses... it was pretty awesome to watch him bomb 400ft holes with ease.

I would of loved to see him when he tore up the tobaggan as an am. That course is grueling enough just walking it!

Yup, Mosier has a cannon and makes it look easy.

The replies in this thread are refreshing. I'm sure the majority of players are trim, but it's good to know there's a few "huskys" around like myself.
Haha I'm actually never tired after 2 full 18 rounds, my short friends are! I'm athletic for being a really fat guy xD I'm losing weight so it's even easier.

Honestly though, super hilly areas tire me out. But generally I can go 3 rounds a day, but I have to stay hydrated and eat a snack mid game
