Camping near De Laveaga

Last minute campground needed, a friend of mine is coming out with his g/f, their not too keen on my version of a 'camping'. State parks around here are $35, crazy! Any insider info on camp sites around?

Getting a campsite near Santa Cruz is tough, almost always booked months in advance. Try Henry Cowell. They don't allow drinking, so it tends to be easier to get a site.

Big Basin is an out of the way area, but it's about 45 min to an hour away. The times I've gone, we've been the only ones there. It's up off of hwy 9 in the Santa Cruz mountains.

We ended up at Mt. Madonna, nice campground for a price that's a slightly more pleasant rape than the state parks, especially since they didn't charge for showers or extra vehicles, and in good location for Pinto Lake.

Wish I would of seen this sooner, I would of suggested HArding Ranch. Like 10 minutes from DeLa and they have a private disc golf course there. I know hundreds camped there last year at worlds and plenty more over the years. There is also another place near pinto lake in watsonville with a private course and possible camping. Next time your in Cali message me and I will happily give you all the info I have on certain areas and what nots.

Damn, I figured there was some insider info regarding worlds camping. Next time. I'm leaving Cali tomorrow. It has been very enjoyable, I'm sure I'll miss it and return someday, I still have all of socal to explore.

Well I live in SoCal and there isn't a course listed I haven't played or will have played by your return. So hit me up and I will happily give you the down low.

I'll be living in SoCal by the time you get back there, you know I'm always down for some course bagging.

I'd go out to Seven Bends and throw a roll in the dunes. The cops come out late at night but there's so much area to cover, it's easy to avoid them.
