If you bought a membership for 2012 it is good through the end of the year.

2013 Registration opens up in October, but your 2012 membership is good through December 31st.

Yeah I wish they either had actual one-year memberships or they offered a pro-rated amount. I'm waiting until October to sign up because it doesn't make any sense to sign up now for 3 or 4 weeks of membership.

Exactly. I'd be a member right now if they did, instead, I am waiting until October....... Hello!!! PDGA? Can anybody there here us?

These are my thoughts only. The PDGA is a very small organization. I have a felling it's already a handful to track and keep up with memberships. Adding yearly would be very difficult to process.

Tournament directors rely on accurate list for members and non members. This could cause confusion to an already unappreciated job.

I agree with the logic that they should change this, but something to do with meaningless tour points for an event 90+% of the membership doesn't go to apparently keeps getting in the way.

This is why we use computer databases to do all that stuff. When someone buys a donor crown here, it lasts for a year, and falls off one year from when it is bought. Completely automated. If Timg can do that for this website, I assure you that the PDGA can.

If anything, getting away from a calendar year membership model and going to a "one year from when you sign up" one might relieve some of the stress from the start of year rush in processing memberships.
