Returning to VA for Xmas

I know this is quite a bit off but I am pretty excited about getting to come back to my home town and try out their courses after picking up DG out here in CA.

I will be back in the Lynchburg area. If all goes well I should be able to make Peaks View, Liberty University, Falling Creek in Bedford, and Edmonds in So Boston.


I will in town coming off the red eye the morning of the 21st and should have a pretty open schedule for golfing barring the mandatory Family events. Hope to Catch up with some locals and get a bit of a tour.

second best course in virginia is on a farm right outside bedford... i'm sure some of the locals up there can steer you in the right direction.

Liberty has removed three baskets and turned them into parking lots. Not sure when they are going to be back up to speed. The team is practicing but I am not sure of the hole configurations.

Thanks guys. glad to know that Bedford has a course of note. I checked over the ratings, but I am sure that the courses will play harder for me compared to the openness of so many SOCAL courses.

Elk Creek is tight. Only two holes that are anywhere near "open". A few holes make you wonder what constitutes a "fairway" as there's nothing "fair" about them. Great course though.......
