Drive form help (< a year playing)
Been playing about 6 months, disregard the tree
hitting sound, ha. Think main issue is I'm not pulling across my chest like I should, but any additional thoughts would be helpful. Distance wise, I'm throwing a Buzzz around 300, just starting to incorporate more drivers. Thanks in advance http://www.flickr.com/photos/69282035@N02/8000470739 Last edited by CubsWin27; 09-18-2012 at 02:14 PM. |

not bad for only 6 months. I see that your arms cross (you give yourself a hug) during the beginning of the X step. Is that because you are unsure where to put your arm, or is it to help you with timing?
Looks like a high reach back as well Here is your throwbroken down:

The hug isn't intentional, i noticed that too, I'll need to pay more attention to where that left arm is since it seems counterproductive. So the following are things I need to work on (will try one at a time or so, so i don't confuse myself too much): 1) When reaching back, pulling it back level to the ground 2) Getting left arm out of the way (is it better to move it behind me and push it forward to generate more speed?) 3) Pulling through chest, less rounding |
