I once found a $60 disc in superb shape in a lake. I ended up giving it away because the smell never ever went away. It turns out the person I gave it to was the person who originally lost it and I did not know it. Happy ending...except for the stinky part.

someone already mentioned vinegar but i'll second it

vinegar is what you can use on sandles and flip-flops if they begin to really smell. it works better than anything else but if you use it on leather shoes it works too well. strips off any shine the leather had and changes the entire feel of it.

i'd expect vinegar to be better than even bleach for this situation.

I was told to do that to my Vibram five fingers, but I am afraid my feet will smell like salt and vinegar potato chips.

Soak in Peppermint CASTILE SOAP, it's all-natural so it won't damage the plastic and has quite a strong scent. Will mask it pretty good. Maybe try the vinegar then the peppermint soap.

Schaeffer Oil makes a product called Citrol that cleans off just about anything and can even take the cat piss smell out of stuff. I wonder how it would work on this situation...? The disc would smell like artificial oranges afterwards if it worked. Stuff is not toxic and won't harm plastics, even.

Take some crushed up charcoal and baking soda and put it in a ziplog bag with the disc for 24 hours.
