You are not good at detecting sarcasm.
This is not sarcasm.

Guys, let get back on topic! Who's going, where are you staying? Where is the best place to eat? Any tips as a spectator? It's my first time.

If it's sunny and warm, be aware that there's not much shade, and part of the course is a LONG way from any vendors. Carry a drink.

Played my 1st eva round at Winthrop with the ropes up. It was a battle. I felt ok walking away with a 84 all things considered. Only other person out on the course when I was out there was Paul Ulibarri prepping for next week. God damn guy is smooth.

Start at 1 and have a print out of groupings and find someone you want to watch play. Go like 3 or 4 holes with them and the stop for a few groups and watch a cool hole for a few groups. Then when someone else you want to see comes through, walk with them for 3 or 4 holes. Keep this up and you will see your favorites play multiple holes, multiple shots on cooler holes and the entire course. Also, hole 7's green might be the best stationary spot on the hole course. From there, you can see hole 6, hole 7, hole 8's tee shot and discs flying in / putts on 16. Hole 12 is a good place to watch from. It's an eagle-able par 5. And holes 11, 12, 13 and 14 are right there around the coliseum.

I am so confused. There is an Open flight and a Performance flight. If I understand it correctly, the Open flight qualification is similar to how it always has been, and the Performance flight will function the same way as it did last year, is this correct? The Performance flight finish will be determined on how much one beats one's rating?
OK, I think I got it so far, but how does (did) one qualify for the Performance flight? The ratings are all over the place, so did you have to petition or ask somehow to be accepted to play in the Performance flight? I would _love_ to play the USDGC setup in a USDGC, but the only way I will be able to do that would be as a Performance flight player, but I had no idea how to qualify for that group!? |
