Putting OAT
I have been playing for about a year now and all of the sudden almost every one of my putts have huge amount of off axis torque. It happens with all my putters but goes away if I throw my putts on a hyzer. How do I get this to stop or does it even really matter that much on a putt?

Don't snap your wrist when you release the putt. Bring your arm up in as straight a line as possible and just let go, all of your fingers at once, and the disc will pop out of your hand. Takes some getting used to at first but it works, I had the same problem you have when i started. In otherwords, you're spin putting and you should try push putting.

What kind of putter are you? Either way, when this happens to me it's usually b/c I'm not getting correct finger spring and the rim hits my pinky on the way out.

I don't know what it is called but I line my front foot up with the basket and bend my elbow.

You may be putting too fast and not realizing it.
This happens to me sometimes when I first start a round even after practicing.I get a little too gung-ho and forget to slow myself down. I'm a spin putter and slowing myself down helps a ton. |
