My only local option is Wal-Mart.

I buy online.

The way I look at it is this: if I can't support a local brick and mortar shop then I will support the vendors that support this site.

I'm in the same boat... Closest shop is about an hour away. Occasionally there will be a disc sale at Sedgley, I'll pretty much always buy something from them as the proceeds help fund course upkeep.

And to answer the OP, yes. Hate waiting for discs

This for me as well.
Actually there is a headshop in Athens, GA that sells discs, but I've never been there because all I hear from other folks is that they are constantly "waiting on the order to come in, man".

we have a local store

champ/z/opto plastic costs about $25...plus tax
base plastic is $14

they have a limited selection of L64
they have no Westside

for $30 I can get premium plastic discs shipped from say MSt

it's cheaper to not buy local and I can get better choice

the wating sucks though
2-3 weeks

What about your clubs? Most of the clubs (correct me if I'm wrong) have some kind of inventory, and will likely place orders periodically. If not supporting local business, support the local club.
And I love waiting for discs. I stake out the mailbox Hill Street Blues-style until they come, then I re-address them and mail them to myself again, just so I can wait longer...

Step one complete, insert new step 'stop at old favorite bar', gggt next.

I don't mind waiting for discs. Usually it is just a back up I'm waiting for so it's no big deal. The only disc that's killing me to wait for right now is the Rival I get to test throw and review for Lion. I'm itching like a heroin junkie to get out in the field and put that thing through it's paces.

That's quite the comparison!

I also have the added inconvenience of living in an apartment. If we're not home the mail man or ups leaves the package at the management office. If I don't get there when they're open it's another days wait! It's even worse if the package arrives on Friday, then I have to wait till Monday!!!
