I was "fortunate" enough to watch the last 2 days due to strep throat. Unfortunate that my Dr. excuse didn't carry me through Friday . Maybe I can catch a rerun after work. Just have to stay off of here so I won't know what went down.

I really hope they post the archives of their coverage. I am fortunate to see the action live but only at hole 9 as I am the one raising the green or red flags, but would love to see how some of the other holes were played.

As far as the format, I prefer the stroke and distance rules; distance only may result in more riskier shots (great for spectators) with little risk of big penalizing scores. I love "smart" golf even if the negative scores suffer.

The O.B. with out the penalty and just the re through is pretty neat. Its fun to watch them take risks early in the tournament.

I really like the re-throw rule for all OBs (with no extra stroke penalty). I like how it takes away the guessing of where a disc went out. If I were running a tournament with lots of OB then I might be inclined to do the same thing.

Awesome coverage so far Dave and Craze are becoming the standard for dg commentators..

The rule being used at the USDGC has been available for TDs to apply without any waiver from the PDGA. It's simply Special Conditions 804.01B where an area is marked with no penalty if you land in it but the player must throw from the drop zone which is the player's previous lie. It's also become known as the extreme version of the buncr rule. (Typically buncrs use nearby line of play relief or a nearby drop zone.)
