What would that look like though? The whole rim being like the Ion rim with a neutron/proton plate? With the lack of premium plastic lids out there, I imagine they would sell well even if they just made a lid entirely out of solid Neutron or Proton plastic. That being said, what would people think about putting the more rubbery plastic on the inside of the lid rim for superior grip? I would buy one of those in a heartbeat!

I'm eagerly awaiting the Volt, and would love an MVP Distance Driver, but on the other hand...how cool would it be to see a company just stick to a niche of mids and putters? I think MVP could still be a success..I mean they and Vibram have been doing very well for themselves so far. I'm just glad MVP puts quality before quanity.

That might be what he meant.

It's possible to compete right now, even without the Volt. You may not cash in an A-tier, but you could definitely cash in the local C-tiers with just the two mids, and two putters.

When I played a round with only my Axis, and KC Aviar, I scored 2 shots worse than my best round ever. Now that I've switched to the N Ion, the score would probably be the same, or better.

That's exactly what I meant. I've seen Mike C kill it on courses with almost all MVP. His QOLF still comes out a lot........... I played with him a few Sundays ago and I don't think his new Neutron putter ever touched the ground!
