Winter Project: learn to throw with off-hand.

I am making an effort to start learning to throw lefty. Is anyone else interested in this experiment? I would love to log my experience and compare notes with others.

who's in?

No. We lefties are special, we don't want you. Stop trying to be unique like we are.

:P

It's just about inverting your brain. I once in a while go out and throw right-handed, it's kinda nice because you don't have to un-learn bad habits, you can just develop good ones. The first thing that you'll probably notice (unless you're naturally ambidextrous) is that strength and coordination in your wrist and hand will need to be developed. Just using your strong hand over years of living puts them on different levels...or at least that's what I noticed.

Grip is what kills my LHBH attempts, it's so foreign. LH FH and putting are much worse, throws like a girl.

I throw both LH/RH. My recommendation is to take it easy at first. I did like 100 pec drills lefty day 1, and I hurt for like a week after.

I actually just started doing this... my right shoulder is fuct. I've been meaning to post a thread about it, and get some analysis on my bag. I've got a bunch of light/understable stuff in there now, but I am mostly only throwing a couple discs, primarily I light z Comet.

I had to experiment with this when I strained my shoulder last spring. I would be game for attempting it also and comparing notes. We could hold each other accountable so none of us wimp out.
