Touring Pros that are approachable (easy to contact)?
I'm helping some local organizations and clubs in a few different areas and there were some ideas that we wanted to bounce off the road warriors and world champions. If anybody happens to know of a top ranked pro that would be willing to talk to a mere mortal and could help me out, please shoot me a PM.
Thanks!

From my experience, in our little town at that, we have had pros come through due to a big tourney held the past two years and Ive found most the pros to be very approachable. Last year nate, val and avery came through and Nate and Val were super nice, Avery was hit or miss on mood.
This year, Paige, Devan and Will came and played the tourney then did a clinic for us on Monday night and they were all wonderful. Devan got sick off some seafood so him and Paige stayed in town an extra day so Paige put up on FB an all girls round at 5 on Tues....only like 4 girls turned out, but a ton of guys did hoping that devan and will would still be there. Unfortunately they didnt come so Paige and a group of 15 ppl played a massive round of mob doubles! It was crazy to say the least but super fun and Paige just has an awesome personality.

Brittany Blair and Paul McBeth are very nice people. Very laid back, fun to play with.

bcr, I'd say Facebook would be the first choice for contact... a few of the top pros definately check their stuff frequently and keep up with the updates.

Most of the pros are good people. You got lots in your area. Moser, Gangloff, Mela, Brinster, Frederick, Eric Smith, etc etc...

Yeah, I might hit up Devin because I actually know him and I'm sure Tolbert might be able to facilitate a conversation with Mike Moser. I know a couple guys that know Joe Mela too.
Thanks Chris. Oh, Chris - I'm going to be in Erie in a few weeks. If you had to choose between Grove City, Slipper Rock, or Oil City, what would you say would be the best course to spend my time?

Slippery Rock is still 9 holes and confusing right now.
Oil City is a very nice course. Grove City is not worth your time. The course at Pymatuning is beautiful. I'd recommend Oil City or Pymatuning in a heartbeat. Also, if you are in Erie, you could check out Chainbiters which is in Fredonia, NY. But you can't go wrong with Oil City or Pymatuning. |
