The satisfaction of knowing that the owner was thankful to get it back.

Ive lost probly 50-60 discs in the last 15 years. Ive only had 1 returned, the guy who found it knew me or I would have never gotten it back. I think by doing selfless deads you get good karma but I may be one of the few in Michigan who believe this...Almost nobody returns discs. I would definitely reward someone for returning a disc if they did though...

So far I have only found one disc with a name and number on it, old beat up Leopard that I made the call and guy came by and picked it up. Didn't meet him, just told him I would leave it on my front porch for him to pick up anytime he wanted. Couple days later it was gone.

Found two others with no name on them, ended up giving those to a buddy's brother who had just started playing.

I have lost 4 myself with no call backs yet. Maybe they havent been found yet, so I can go back and trample through the rough when fall is done and winter has yet to really hit. Wishful thinking probably.

I lost a r pro boss that was perfectly beat in during the winter, there was about a foot of snow on the ground. I loved how that disc flew. The first warm day about a month later the snow melted off, I went back to the park and walked to where I had thought I lost it and low and behold there it was just laying on the ground. all it took was the snow to melt off and it was right there. That was pretty cool. I hate losing discs. If they aren't completely irretrievable ill try my hardest to get them...nasty ponds, deep nasty rivers, tree tops up 25 feet...ive been there.

I lost a disc at my home course near Houston in the lake. About a year later, I get a text from a guy saying he found it..... at a course in Michigan. It was a disc I was happy to get back. I sent him a pre-paid envelope so he could mail it to me and included a disc of his choice to thank him.

Ive heard of this many times...guy calls up "hey I have your disc, Im in sanfransisco". And the guy who lost it lives in Pennsylvania or something. Ive heard many stories like this. Its amazing how discs move around as much as they do.

i don't think i've ever been offered anything for returning a disc.

when someone returns my disc i offer something. usually 2x shipping costs or a disc that is in my bag.
