Today, the course designer and man that proposed the course is walking through with the township officials, an environmental specialist, and basically the powers that make the decisions... After that, the designer (John) will get together with the local golfers and share what is going on, and the plan going forward - which should happen tomorrow.

Just running into some opposition, and may just be a delay, or have a very difficult time going forward. No idea how this will turn out at this point, we will know more tomorrow.

Just don't "like" the page as they use the number of likes as a talking point in their favor.

But as we see with many courses, there are always people who oppose!

That seriously sucks, but one of your statements confuses me. How am I supposed to explain to people how disc golf "benefits the land". I don't know of a single thing that disc golf does for land. It might do things for the community, but for the land? One local niner around here was supposed to be shut down because of erosion concerns. Why? Because it used a seldom used area in the woods, and we were tromping through and killing the underbrush that would have held the land in place. The pulling of the course has been stalled for over a year now, but I understand their point. Even though a lot of us respect the land we're playing on, there are far too many disc golfers who have zero respect for anything. They trample down plants that don't need to be trampled, try to take down trees if they're small enough and in their line, and leave litter all over the course. It's unfortunate, but our sport is viewed as a light activity for a bunch of potheads and transients right now, and people like that just perpetuate the stereotype.

Just playing devil's advocate.

Sometimes i cry when i think of all those invasive species surrounding the trees and wildlife and realize its people. I wonder how many tears you all shed when you broke a blade of grass while walking through the woods. I saw that pic of you guys in the woods. Clearly destroying leaves and hopefully not ground worms or insects. Poor things. I do not know what this freesbee hockey thing is but you are destroying the planet.

This is truly a sad display by the opposition... Even the well worded, non-bashing posts by course supporters are being deleted. If the course does go through I am afraid they will be out there blocking fairways or vandalizing baskets.
