Road Trip: 15 days, where to play?

I will be off work from Sat, Dec 22 - Sat, Jan 5 = 15 days.

Probably driving to Ft. Laud to spend a few days with family, but wondering where to play on the way down/up. Thinking of taking I-77 to I-95 one direction, and I-75'ish the other way. Looking to camp along the way and pick up a couple of new states played ;Virginia, Alabama, toying with idea of hitting the New Orleans area.

Figured on playing some courses near Atlanta and want to play something in Virginia that's relatively close to I-77.

Just in the preliminary stages of thinking this through - no specific plans. Did something similar over 9 days last year - hit Fly boy and IDGC and a few more.

Any suggestions for campsites, courses, other suggestions, etc.
Anyone want to meet to play?

I'm actually moving to NC soon and should be down there at the beginning of December. Maybe we can meet up in yet one more state and throw some plastic.

That's a definite possibility! Will likely be driving through Charlotte one way or the other - plenty of good courses.

For sure. I will be about an hour and a half, two hours from Charlotte, but definitely plan on playing the Charlotte courses as soon as possible.

In Virginia the Spotsylvania area sounds like a blast, I've been wanting to get to Blockhouse and Hawk Hollow for a long time.

Charlotte courses are a must. You could easily spend a couple days there and never play the same course twice. Around Atlanta GA I like East Roswell, wills park, (those 2 are only about 15 minutes from each other), and perkerson park in downtown Atlanta.

Yeah, two days in Charlotte is a minimum for hitting all the good to great courses there, I really enjoyed the variety and quality in that area. It's pretty cool to check out Winthrop while there too, just print the caddy book or pull it up on your phone and you can get a really good idea of how it plays for the tournament.

Unfortunately unless you can make it this way before the end of November, I'm going to have to take a rain check.

I'm a truck driver and my company has a yard in Columbus off exit 5 on the loop. What area courses should I be looking to play while in the area? And if I'm in town and you come through Atlanta would love to play a round with you.
