I will have to look for a quote or interview he gave on the ghost and its design to give a more precise answer. Just know that the ghost and rampage/cannons are only like a 3-5 percent difference in flexibility. As you can see that's a huge difference when felt.
Just to avoid confusion they could call the really stiff Icon plastic something different like Protege Icon or Icon Pro. I'm liking the really stiff Icon but I could see some people wanting the pinnacle that the drivers are made of, especially in colder climates.

when can we expect to see these on store shelves? I got a pile of money for Christmas and I plan on buying some Legacy plastic (and some euro stuff of course.)

Took mine out the other day and got a few throws in.
The experimental plastic is more flexible and less stiff than the Pinnacle Rivals and has an amazing grip. VERY nice.
I'm told this plastic is slightly more stable than the Icon version coming out at the end of January. And stable is certainly was. Really straight flight and also was able to coax a controllable S-curve out of it as well.
It's a keeper.

Got to throw the new sparkle Patriots yesterday. Pretty nice. Before I threw them they were described to me as a slightly faster, slightly less-glidey Leopard. After throwing them, it seems to be an accurate description. (When I say Leo, I'm talking Champ not DX for stability).
