Yeah pretty much. Pinnacle plastic might have a little more grip than champ.. Or could be considered very similar to the grip of innovas new "jolly launcher" plastic.

I carry two Star Leopards (one very beat in for turnovers, one worn in for slight hyzer flips for dead straight). Although I love my Leopards I could afford to have something a tiny bit faster (and even maybe a tick more understable out of the box). I've gotten some gift certificates for Disc Golf Center to burn, is an Icon Patriot what I should try out? Will it beat in to even more understable than a Star Leopard?

The Pinnacle is the closest thing I've felt yet to the old 11X pearly KC Pro plastic. The Rival looks like it, but the Patriot actually has the same grippy gummy feeling.

In my opinion, Pinnacle Patriot plastic is the best on the market right now.

I haven't beaten mine in that far yet, but it is heading that way. My Icon has more turn my Pinnacle.

Pinnacle will be pretty straight with a bit of turn when you really crank on it, and the icon will have some turn out of the box. Maybe try both? You'll like them if you're looking for something a bit faster than a leopard.

For me, the Patriot and Leopard fly very similar and wouldn't say the Patriot is more understable.

If you're wanting something a tick faster then the Leopard the Patriot will fill that role. However, if you're looking for a disc that is both faster and more understable than a Leopard a Lat 64 Fury is an option.

Well one of the perks I did not anctipiate of our Fore!day promotions at Disc Nation...if a disc goes on sale, like the Patrtiot did, and folks don't like it...they sell it back!

I also scored a nice yellow Icon Ghost(x-out from DN stamping) and used seasoned Excel Ghost. Both the Ghosts filled holes in the bag, where the Patriots were just for backups and practice

Just ordered a 175g Pinnacle from DGC. Hoping it will fulfill the H-Flip role I've been wanting. Will report my findings next week.
