South Central VA - Edmund's Park

Hey to all you disc-ers in the NC/VA area. Just letting you guys know we do exist down here! If you guys come our way please come play! We just put in new signs and redesigned some holes and put in 18 white concrete pads. The blues are marked and being cleared and alternate pins are being placed for every hole this winter. Hopefully come Spring we will have a non-sanctioned event and maybe by fall PDGA if we can get our shiznit together. Its a rather small club at the moment and were starting from square one figuring out the PDGA tournament info. If you guys can give some pointers or direction for that it would be most appreciated.

I have played there. A few guys from Blackstone hit events there and have tried to get me to tag along. Perhaps i'll fit it into my schedule in the future.

Edmunds/Sasquatch/Rockness next Wednesday (21st). Looking forward to it......

Played Sasquatch & Rockness last Friday. 1st time at Sasquatch, played 2 rds from the whites. our group lost 3 discs. 2 in water (#2 & #17) and 1 fell out of bag. My drive on #2 skipped off the water and landed up on the bank. Fun course that needs to be played more. Rockness is fun too, played 1 rd there. Haven't been to Edmonds since upgrades. time would not permit it.

Played Edmunds/Sasquatch/Rockness yesterday. Really great day of disc golf. I really enjoyed Edmunds, I had never played the old layout but a buddy that was with me had and he said the new layout is awesome. Great work guys. Next up was Sasquatch. I also really enjoyed this course. I agree with Razor, it will just get better and better once it gets some decent "traffic". I'm not sure why the baskets were all put in so high though. Not a big deal, just curious. There were lots and lots of "short stumps" and cutoff saplings hiding in the leaves. It seemed like I hung my foot on at least 25 of them. Very challenging course and I will enjoy throwing it many times I hope. Last up. The Rockness Monster. Very impressive. A lot of work went into this course and it showed. Lots of elevation and some very scenic/cool holes as well utilizing all the boulders and rocks. My favorite of the day but all were good. Can't wait for the next southern loop through SoBo and Roxboro.
