New Feature: Designer Response

Course designers can now respond to reviews to address any cons or inaccuracies that may be in them. The latter being good for older reviews that may talk about things that have since been fixed.

If you're a designer and would like response access, you can PM or email me with your DGCR name or DGCR ID # and a link to the course you designed and I can set it up. Once you've been entered as a designer you will see a "Respond to this review" link under each review.

A quick rule: responses should be cordial in nature. This is not for blasting a reviewer or review you don't like, it's meant to explain your position on an issue that might have been brought up, clear up misconceptions, etc. Members can report responses should they be out of line. If I see a pattern of attacking reviews/reviewers or general negativity from a designer I will remove your ability to respond to reviews. Your member name will be attached to each response.

Tim, does this mean their responses will be shown in the review section so everyone can see the comments?

This will be awesome to help educate people on the difficulty with design sometimes and the stipulations the designer might be under. I know I was harsh in the beginning because I just didn't understand, but now I see the things that might influence the decision making process.

Perfect . . . excellent addition to the review section. I hope people take what the designer says to heart and truly learn about the decisions that have to be made from time to time.

I like it, this could REALLY help on some questionable reviews. HOPEFULLY the designers aren't a-holes and comment peacefully and take the mostly constructive criticism well and can share their design thoughts and reasoning.

If a designer was an a-hole I'd remove the comments and his or her ability to respond to reviews.

Can we also request that certain photos be removed. Take the paper tee sign photos at Beaver Ranch, for example. Those are LONG gone.

Yeah, I really like this. There are honestly some courses that I'd REALLY like to see respond. Great job!

Will there be any notification to the reviewers when a designer responds to their review? It would be nice as a reviewer to know that feedback is there, especially if it comes in well after the review was written.
