bvictor winter 2012 setup

First I'll say that I hate that I can't go back to my older thread and edit it because it hasn't had a reply in so long.

For now I've decided to go with the premium plastic midrange setup. I broke a super beat roc in september and don't really want to do that again, at least this winter. So I'm branching out to try different discs for now. Not much else is different right now. Just going to settle in for a while with this setup. If I like the midranges, I'll stick with it. Maybe.

Winter Lineup:
Drivers:
165 cDD2 blizzard
175 cPD - mini-predator. throw this one a lot.
175 sPD - one to beat in
175 sPD - one to keep fresh, backup
175 pPD - worn in, will turn from a flat throw and hold
175 pPD - new
171 Z Predator - old dependable. been throwing this same pred for a few years now, still nicely overstable.
173 Z Predator - mainly for sidearms or skip shots, flat and very overstable.
175 sFD - worn in, long turnovers and rollers.
175 sFD - fresh. might try out a cFD in this slot.

Midranges:
175 proton Vector, new - hoping this is pretty darn overstable.
176 eclipse axis
176 proton axis
175 neutron axis (one of each plastic to see how they fly, and how each would fit in to the lineup. I'll probably try out the eclipse and neutron vectors eventually.)
175 z comet, well worn in
176 x comet, super beat

Putters
174 soft X Challenger
176 Medium Summit
174 D Challenger
174 D Challenger

Big NOPE to the MVP mids. Didn't like them at all, felt like I had to throw them too hard. So now I'm working with a 2 Buzzz/3 Comet arsenal.

Also going to try out the Mercy for a while, since I'll probably be trying the Judge when DD releases it.

Good luck in your buzzz endeavors, i have only found one i liked, a ti thats straight and flies a lot like a roc, all the z's ive thrown that werent beat fly too differently, i had a similar problem inthat ifelt i had to throw it very hard to get what i wanted, and the Z's didnt like to be powered down. If that Z i sent you doesnt work out, find a concave low plh Ti, theyre money

I think the one Ti I have that I really like is what you're talking about. It has just the slightest high speed turn to it, and it's basically brand new. Kind of like a slightly worn KC Roc.

I don't think I'll have an issue with the Buzzes in the bag (I think) mainly because I will still be using comets for 75% of my midrange shots. The buzzz will just be the compliment, and not the primary, getting used when I want to throw hard or when I need a lower line.

buzzzes don't work for me. I'm back to a mix of comets and kc pro rocs.

Also trying out the Judge for a while. the lower profile with the bead actually isn't as uncomfortable as I thought it would be. the classic soft feels a lot like a tacky version of discraft soft X.
