This is way I think everyone on these forums is so out of touch with the majority of golfers. Any course I'm at I see a Ton of baseline plastic. Why? Because its cheap and looks COOL.

I think it's partly a generational issue too, most of the older players I see have bags full of baseline plastic, many younger players seem to gravitate toward the more expensive and "pretty" plastic.

I really hope this is a disc that sees production; I like it, and have thrown it quite a bit since the Ace Race back in September. But I really don't like the name. Swarm or Stinger would have been a better name, I think. Even Yellowjacket ....
To Discraft's credit, I also saw some negative comments this morning, but I haven't checked in a couple hours to see if they deleted anything. Not sure they would really have anything to gain by deleting negative comments (unless they were profane) because people would notice and see that the company was not encouraging open discussion. In the end, people are either going to buy the disc, or they aren't, and the name likely won't have a terribly strong effect one way or another.

Final thought: If people will buy a Discmania S-TD, they will buy anything.

Also just so happens to coincide with the release of Call of Duty Black Ops II, and their famous Zombie mode. Released this week on Nov 13th. Add in stuff like the Walking Dead and other zombie references and I can understand their reasoning.

Or you could buy the S or C line versions of the disc that only have the letter designations on them...

The first PD I bought had the clean shield stamp and no mention anywhere of "Freak". Once I fell in love with the mold I ended up finding a run with that horrible Freak stamp that flew awesome...SO I kind of got the bait and switch and ended up with a horrible stamped disc in my bag. It has become like an ugly pet...what at first I found horribly ugly has endeared itself to me...so ugly it's somehow cute or something.

This made me laugh, good times. I imagine you dragging around some ugly, yet adorable mutt on the course now.
