Zombee.....sadly I think it will work

I will agree on the disdain for the modern fascination for ghoulishness....I refused to throw Discmania due to the stupid stamps and names

I don't think it will work. Although I actually really liked the way the disc flew during the Ace Race, I can think of 2-3 other discs that I already carry that do the same thing, so I don't need it. In addition, Discraft only really stamps the image on the Buzzz as far as I know - the others are basic circle stamps with name only, so the name is the true sell, combined with the performance of the disc. As the image of (who knows what) wouldn't be necessary, and the disc has trusted counterparts from other manufacturers, banking on this name is a bad idea. Just my opinion, though.

And I completely agree with your assessment of Discmania. I own a first run MD1, which is an amazingly clean stamp on a solid disc in my opinion. I think their current stamps are some of the ugliest I have seen.

The Ace Race disc was in Z, but I would not be surprised to see a production run in D or X just get a graphic stamp on it. From a marketing point of view, there are already 25,000, if not closer to 30,000, of the Zs already out there. To create any artificial demand it needs to be available in another plastic. I think X would be a logical choice for those who want to beat it up a little to straighten it out even a little more.

As for Discmania's monster line, we have hashed this rant out before. Basically, I have no desire to throw something grotesque because there are a few 12-25 year olds who have a fetish for comical horror. I like the coat of arms look, but I like the clean look even more. I use the acetone quite frequently.

I like Discraft's hive-based naming scheme for its mids (sans Comet/Meteor/Stratus, which are more space-oriented). But this is just weak.
