Skeeter is a good one for the kids. Light, neutral and easy to throw straight.

My daughter's first disc was a Pearl. Fits her hand well and she loves the way it looks, but in reality they really don't come very light, hers is 154g and that's about the lowest I've seen. (seems like Lat could use Opto Air on Pearl/Ruby/Diamond to make them even more kid friendly)

Prerube generously sent her some kids' discs, and one of them was a Quest Rock-It at 134g. It's become her go-to disc, it's the right weight and rim size but more importantly the plastic is soft and with the colder weather it doesn't hurt her hand when it rips out.
