You can tell I don't get out of Oklahoma to play much.

You are never really playing an opponent. You are playing yourself, your own highest standards, and when you reach your limits, that is real joy.

It is tough for me to pick my top 5 in KC, let alone all of the others I have played, but this is where I landed right now.

1. Blue Valley - (KC)
2. Water Works - (KC)
3. Lester Lorch - Beaver (Cedar Hills, TX)
4. Paradise Pointe - Woodhenge (Smithville, MO)
5. Peter Pan - (Emporia, KS)

2 of which are extinct, and a 3rd is an annual temporary course so otherwise unplayable. 3 of the 5 are/were private courses.
Amended vote:

Ashe County
Gran Canyon (2003-2006 version and before)
Gran Canyon (2013 ressurection)
Stoney Hill
Hampton Park
(Still Waters Farm gets honorable mention)

The temp Canyon course this year only repeated 2 holes from the original, so gets its own place on my list.

In my world, these are not only my Top 6, but they're a level or two above numbers 7 and below.
