I think I will order myself the lightest Amp I can find for my birthday this week.

Never. However, not everybody likes to throw really heavy discs. Some mid to high 160's would be nice!

Interesting to think about... With most of the weight supposed to be coming from the gyro/outer rim... If they try to "blizzard" the Proton/Neutron plastic, I wonder what kind of weights they would end up with? While I don't think the weights would drop in any crazy amount, you also wouldn't have the "bubbly rim" crap that most people hate about Innova Blizzard discs.

Purchased my fist MVP in October, and its taking over my bag. Trying to get them to stop making stuff so my wife stops yelling at me for spending money. >.< |

The only way Chad and Brad are going to delve into the world of bubble plastic is if they don't care about producing consistent discs anymore. By the looks of things, it's a safe bet this will never happen.

So I had about 10 throws with the Amps I received today...167 white and 173 black. While I was having some nose angle issues and couldn't spend much time working them out (had my toddler with me), I nailed it a couple times and it was easy distance. On those better throws, both discs had about the same amount of turn, but the heavier one faded more.
Again, these are super preliminary impressions, but I like it. It is understable at my lower power, but not massively.

Really enjoying my red Amp
On the course it flies more stable than my white one. I don't remember what the weight is on them The Red amp is more stable and flies so dead straight. With like 5 degree of hyzer it locks in flat and doesn't move off the line at all. Like zero horizontal movement. It's a longer straighter QJ Very impressed. Too bad I throw Millennium... |
