No, I've never met either one of them. Didn't mean to come across as "judging". Perhaps one day we'll get a decent tourney in the Baltimore area and I'll get to see them play in person.

As with all inpersonations, Gregg is simply animating and making one small part of KC seem like his entire self. This isn't a foreign concept - look no further than SNL's celebrity jeopardy.

The iron leaf story truly does sound exactly like something KC would say - with the obvious comediac additions (I'm sure he said something like "it was dead center" as opposed to "dead in the heat of the center of middle of the chains"), but it's pretty much a classic KC frustration story. The ending where he talks about what Nikko did is EXACTLY KC. Spot on. I was playing with him at the worlds in 2006 and Barry was in the group in front of us and thew in a 200 footer for 2 on a par 4. And KC looks at me and says "theres one I just lost to Barry." It really is the way he is wired.

While this one won't be as viral as Iron Leaf nor have the effect, I really appreciate a few things - the bill of the hat touching was spot on and really made me laugh, the foot scraping was pretty classic, the flicking on the cig and the putting motion was spot on.

But does KC really go around and tell people how good he is? No. Most of the conversations I have with him are about ball golf or the NHL. But if he's playing, losing and then getting bad breaks, the "I'm the best" stuff comes out of him. So like all good impressions, it's just a small portion of who KC is.
