Who are you again? I hope you have a spectacular trip and I really do want to hear about it... But AFTER you get home. Getting the play by play on what you're eating for dinner really isn't interesting to the greater populace.

This x1000. And Dupa, it's not just aimed at you, I personally think Twitter is the stupidest invention known to man. Blurting out every little thought in 140 characters of verbal diarrhea, and then expecting people to be fascinated by our incredibly mundane lives is the height of egotism. People who can't figure out why Millennial kids act so spoiled and self-centered need look no further than Twitter.

Who am I? Just another crap Ams player. But I am trying to grow the sport through social media.

Maybe there is a member of the forum who is going down there. Through twitter we could meet up for trades, practice rounds, have some brews and putt at the hotel, arranging rides etc. It's a way of getting people together.

Maybe there is non member of the forum reading this and is wondering what a big tourney weekend is like besides just someone telling him "oh yeah dude it's fun" Maybe my updating of stuff throughout the week makes him enter a tournament some time down the road.

This will be my forth time down there and I think I could help first timers down there with stuff to do.

The "non social media" type person may not like it and put his negative 2 cents and that's fine with me.

Good luck man! Disc golf is a great game, social media is an awful communication substitute.

It's really not.. Twitter gives you the ability to try and communicate with people you normally wouldn't be able to communicate with during day to day conversation. I've had many small conversations with some of my favorite rap artists through Twitter, that normally I wouldn't be able to just pick up my phone and call or text. Yes, there are people out there that use Twitter to say, "Look what I just had for dinner..." but there are other people out there who use it to gain a bigger fan base for music or other artistic careers. Or to get in touch with people that they normally wouldn't be able to get in touch with.... Just saying.
