Alright.... trying something new today with Z plastic. Hopefully it works out... going to try a dipdye with negative waves. Going to use hot water in a pan.... gel is about dry on the disc. Going to put the dye/soap on the disc first... let it set for 8 hours or so... then try the dip. Who knows if this will work or not. Gotta keep tinkering.

Does anybody have access to Jeff's older brainwaves? That might be an easier way to see what he was using. I am guessing that at some point he changed the dye that he was using to the newer, brighter dyes (of which we still don't know what he was using).

I have an Old CE Firebird with his dye on. I'll find it once I make it home from work and get a picture.

Ok.... let's establish what we know:

1. Jeff has been doing this for over 10 years.
2. Jeff uses bright dyes..... not RIT..... not iDye poly (he started using more fluorescent dyes since at least April of last year.
3. Dan knows how to do the EXACT brainwave dyes (not trying throw you under the bus Dan... really). According to this http://www.discgolfreview.com/forums...p?f=14&t=24386 ..... he started in May of 2012.
4. Pretty sure that since Dan is using the same dye (pretty sure) that Jeff was using..... that means that the dye is probably readily available.... not a special order dye. (Just throwing that out there).
5. Pretty sure that the regular BWs are a single process.... the negative waves are a two step process.

Anybody else want to add anything? I am still waiting to hear back from Jacquard about their new dyes. Might be worth messaging them with some of Ash's pics to see if they are capable of those colors.

6. Also.... the stamps stay in tact.... therefore can't be using a SC base for the dye (takes the stamp off).

Added 6.

I've had this disc at least a year.

When I bought it it was listed as on "original" brainwave dye this was before Jeff was out and everyone could get ahold of them easily. I don't know when this was done, but it looks as if it was done awhile ago.

Awesome... thanks buddy. Those are still unique colors.... maybe not as neon looking as the newer dyes.

Also.... the new iDye poly colors do not include neons :/

This is an old picture too. I'll try and get a better one a little later when I make it home.
