I think the flexibility limit is at 29lbs.

edit - scratch that, 27lbs.

Quote:
(13) have a flexibility rating no greater than 27 lb. (12.25 kg);
The limit is there for safety reasons.

Didn't mean to derail this thread like that. Any way to split the posts with the discussion on disc standards and rules away from the Eurodisc discussion?

It's relevant to Eurodiscs' organic discs, so I thought it was a valid question here.

I'm picturing a scenario involving disc golfers with clipboards hurling discs of different flexibility at crash test dummies and some guy in a suit saying, "This disc is just too damn firm!"

I have a feeling that limit was set a long time ago before the warp speed drivers appeared on the market. Now it doesn't matter how gummy that 13-speed disc is, when it hits you it will do some damage. So I'm not really sure why there is still concern over how stiff discs are if they can still hurt someone. Remember earlier this year Will got hit with a Force from 20 feet away? It was a casual toss that missed the basket, and Will ended up needing stitches.

It wasnt a force, it was a slower, fw speed driver

The photo he posted on Facebook with the gash in his forehead is captioned "Force to the face" so that's where I got the Force from.
