Moving -->Medical College of Georgia (Augusta)

Heading to Augusta for dental school! I will be very busy, but have always heard about the great courses in the golf capital of the world.

I would love to jump on some of the courses with locals to get a feel for the variety.

You'll be amazed. There is a local forum, but not sure how much it is utilized.
Check out KillerB's website, they have stuff going on all the time.

Thanks man.

If you were going to play a round right now and could only pick one....which would it be?

If I could only choose one in the area it would be one of the 3 at the IDGC.

But if you're looking to stay within Augusta, I really enjoyed Lake Olmstead. Like the name implies, it plays along a lake for many holes and can really eat discs though.

On an unrelated note, how big is the Dental class? The reason I ask is that I have a buddy that was recently accepted there too, not sure if you would know him or not.

That would be hard, but I like Pendleton King. Very picturesque park (it's a bird sanctuary) with a very nice DG course.

The class size 80. I have lived in Georgia my entire life, so naturally it was my number one school.

I am also a big disc golfer and ball golfer....so that just worked out perfectly. what is his name?

IDGC courses are great as everyone has said. Riverview in N. Augusta is my favorite public in the area.

Im in the Augusta area and always playing. You will be satisfied with all the courses. There are 13 courses that covers Augusta, North Augusta, Aiken, Appling, and Beech Island. Everything is about 30 mins drives. A new one being built now and a second is in the city of North Augustas plans to be built. Our Pro Shop, Killer B, is sitting on 4 courses but they only play 2 of them and only use the other 2 for tournaments. Great area to play. Every year the NCAA Collegiate DG championships are held here too.
