pouring concrete in the rain
Anyone have experience with this? It is the wet season here in Cali and I'm working on getting concrete tees set up on a course. While I know it is not ideal conditions for pouring/finishing concrete, does anyone know if pouring concrete during a wet spell would result in poorly finished/cured tees? I'd plan on covering the tees with heavy duty plastic once finished and letting it dry for at least a week or two before use.

It depends on how wet the ground is already.
Very light rain and no puddling in/near work area=OK Otherwise, I'd wait till it drys up some.

Thanks. The area seems to drain pretty well. It is in a manicured park with turf. Digging the tees out was tough, but as a whole, the drainage seems excellent.

I've done this before, we just put up a makeshift structure over the concrete to give it time to harden, if its quikrete it shouldn't take too long. A pop up canopy would be great.

great idea. If we want to bang out multiple tees in a workparty, we'll cover them with the plastic when we're finished

If it is raining too hard, you'll probably not get your needed volunteers; reschedule. |

pour away rain will only affect the surface finish if its freshly poured... Cover it you should be fine..If you want a rough surface the plastic can smooth your broomed finshed pads.. Try not to let it touch to much surface area..
