billy is entertaining as hell, i've known him for years! its so randomn for me to hit an ace in a tourney, cause i really am not going for them. Its really fun when it happens though!!!!! That one at two days in may was great, cause it would have more than likely been out of bounds if i missed the basket on that one

Dear Discraft,

Michael Johansen is awesome. We often play DVDs in our store and when MJ's solo time from Clash plays, everyone stands around in awe of his smooth throwing style. It's the single best moment on DG DVD to show new players, "this is what controlling a golf disc is all about." And the shots that put these players in awe most are his Comet shots in the woods. That's pure disc golf there.

MJ has also been fielding a ton of questions about his game on the DGCR forums lately. These are the most experienced/jaded players in the sport, and they're *loving* his involvement and overall outlook on the sport and his personal game. Sheer positivity and helpfulness. Being the geeks they are, the forum is hot for Comets -- they are "the choir" to whom an MJ Comet would preach, and the disciples who would spread its high-performance magic around courses everywhere.

Michael Johansen is awesome and we're asking Discraft for the MJ Signature Comet in 2013.

The entire Nation approves this message!
i love my fans and disc golfers in general. I am still in awe of how many of you know who iam considering how little i travel. It makes it all worth while for me and makes me proud of how i play!!!
thank you all

So does this means you might travel a little more? You know, to get out and meet some of us face to face?

So what plastic would you prefer?

I transitioned from a Comet-Meteor-Buzz SS in the past two years whenever the previous got too flippy and I am trying to figure out what is next after the SS.

My favorite Comet was actually X plastic and I am not a big fan of most the current Zs. I did have 2 Opaque Pink ones I sold that had a very good shape.

probably not, to be honest with you. I would like to hit a few different places in the coming years, but i really enjoy the competion and comraderie in my area. I dont enjoy playing with the touring pros all the time, they suck some of the fun out of it for me, so i tend only to play a few big events a year

MJ, you've touched on this a little bit already, but how many, what plastics, and what weight Comets do you use? Do you have to cycle them due to wear, or what?
