Disc for small hands.

Hi everyone.

I'm pretty new to disc golf. I have been playing for about 5 months now.

Anyway, I have to be honest. I have pretty short fingers when I take an honest look at my hands. My palm is pretty much normal sized if not slightly bigger than my friends' when we look at each others hands, however my fingers are always shorter.

That said, I was just wondering what disc other players that might have similar hands use and that "fit" such hands. Currently my favorite disc is a Innova Cobra just because it seems to fit my hands pretty well how I hold the disc. I;m happy with that disc and all, but was just wondering about expanding my disc selection and trying other disc what others might recommend.

(from lurking on the forums for about a month or so I can see both the Buzzzz and Roc are popular but are they good for me?)

I think some discs that would do well for someone like you with small hands.

Driver - Leopard or Teebird
Midrange - Cro
Putter - Challenger, Aviar, R-Pro Dart

I would recommend a buzz if you are to get any disc. It is a low profile disc that is consistently straight and it has a thin rim which makes small hands a little easier to grip. Also, try any disc that is understable because the rims tend to be thinner with a little more domy top to them, which for small hands, you can snug your first knuckles into them a little easier ( i.e. sidewinder, roadrunner, beast). I myself have large hands, so more overstable discs suit me better because I dont have to bend my knuckles in so much. Hopefully that will help you. Keep playing.

You could try the knuckle grip, my brother and another friend of mine use this with success. If you don't know what it is you essentially make a fist and put the plate between your first finger and middle finger then throw as normal. It is a little weird at first but with some practice can be effective, you have less touching the disc so you actually get a cleaner release which in turn leads to more RPMs, less drag from the hand, go to a field a mess around with it, it may just work for you.

A couple recommendations:

Putter/short midrange = Discraft Ringer

Driver = Stalker
