New course in Ponca City, Oklahoma

The PCDGC has been hard at work installing a new 18 hole course directly adjacent to the existing 18 hole Lake Ponca course. The new course will feature a heavily wooded mix of technical shots, a perfect contrast to the lengthy open fairway course. We plan on having the Innova DisCatchers in by early spring at the latest with a PDGA tournament soon to follow. Stay tuned!

Awesome. Will this be near the old archery range? I grew up in Ponca but haven't lived there for more than a decade; however, I still often go back to see family and play the course by Hutchens Memorial while avoiding the lake course because it's so exposed to wind. Playing by the lake but in the woods sounds awesome. I'm looking forward to that!

Yessir the course is being cut through the entire old archery range property. It is tight and unforgiving!

Awesome. I was playing the lake course a year ago or so and asked my buddy if you could still use the archery range. He seemed to think it had been shut down and I immediately thought that the old lanes could be trimmed to make an awesome course. Even thought about dragging a portable basket in there and giving it a few throws.

I'm stoked to hear that you guys are putting a legit course in. My sincere gratitude goes to you guys for putting in the work!

Not sure on the name but i'd guess just simply the east course. We will be working all weekend if anybody wants to come out.
