Agreed. There seems to be about the same scoring separation as ball golf if you look at tourney results, only difference really is the number under par. If it is the number under par that is the issue then we should be using par 2 and 2.5 and 3.5 to reflect the actual SSA of that hole.

Which is how it should always play out, whatever the 'solution' to the 'problem(s).'

Makes me think of a great quote. When asked if he felt like playing in the rain gave him a competitive disadvantage, Vijay Singh answered "just when I'm the only one it's raining on."

I still want to see 18 holes of par 72 disc golf. 12 par 4's averaging 750ft. 3 par 5's averaging 1000ft and 3 par 3's averaging 375. I want to play and I want to watch pros play it. just to see what happens. Renny Gold is the closest thing that comes to mind (par 70) that I have played. but it isn't quite as long as I prescribe above. so think Renny Gold but longer.

PGA pros typically bitch when greens are hard fast and sloped. Just as many pdga players bitch about difficult greens. Those tough greens in either case make for more compelling watchable golf as well as separating joes and pros.

You think it's so great until u play one. I think the sweet spot is in the 65-69 range.
Believe it or not a par 54 can produce score separation if done correctly.

Johnny Sias advocates fast greens and says players just need to learn how to play the slopes better.

When you make all your putts, the greens don't matter...
