2 Questions About Recent Champion Plastic

My first question is how common are kind of soft/gummy metal flake CFR discs? I bought a Gator like this (became significantly softer/gummier with wear), and was wondering how difficult its going to be for me to find a new one.

My second question is whats up with opaque champion panthers? My local store has a couple and they feel like halfway between champion and star, are these an older run with new stamps or are they currently purposely being run like this, or is this just a oddball run?

My experience w/ metal flake Gators have been the same, they start out semi-firm and become somewhat gummy with wear. I have not seen any metal flakes that were truly gummy to begin with.

The Panthers are probably the same blend as Eagles are usually molded up with, that opaque champy star. It's some good stuff...

I've noticed this too on a variety of new champion discs. Feels kinda nice..

That opaque, champy-star (or in this case, starry-champ?) is AMAZING. Stays surprisingly supple in cooler temps too.

Does it wear more quickly than clearer and firmer champion? I really liked the feel of the plastic, but couldn't really afford to drop any more money on discs that trip, at least for molds I haven't really tried out.
