wonder how much it would cost to make an aluminum frame? ... ...

definitely beyond my capabilities

On a photo on the facebook page, John said they'd be shipping out the 3rd week of April ... so if there aren't any delays, I'll have my awesome new bag for two straight 3 day weekends of disc golf and tons of jealous stares

Well, that depends on the complexity of the frame. But I doubt I would match the aluminum of the Ergo. Instead of a curved aluminum frame, I'm sure I'd opt for a triangluar PVC frame. Also, instead of getting vertical pockets sewn into the back of the bag, it would be easier for me to hang individual pockets on a PVC frame. "Pockets" are easy enough. You just buy cheap 10" black accent pillows at Wal-Mart and open one side and rip out the stuffing. Just like that you've got pockets you can fit 2-3 discs in.

So after checking out an ergo today I got one coming. Went with black/grey. Very nice bag! You can hide the flap by rolling it and tucking it in. I know that was a concern for some people but its easily tucked out of the way. It can also be used as a putter pocket while left hanging as it has a interior pocket on the backside of it. Stands up really well too. But the best feature to me is how it rides on your back. If you have the discs stacked up the back of it, it rides better than my mahal. Distributes the weight so you don't feel weighed down with all your discs sitting low in the bag. The straps are well padded but not as well as the mahal. The materials it's made out of look really solid. Can't wait to get it!

I put it on and looked through the bag. Didn't wear it for a round but did wear it long enough to know its very comfy in the stacked configuration.

Yeah, that appealed to me. I could easily put most of my bag's weight vertically. My one concern are how secure my water bottles will be on the sides. I want to be able to carry two huge water bottles with me and it looks like they might not be very secure with that elastic holder on the sides.

I looked at those too and all I can say about them (they weren't being used at the time) is that they stretch/expand a good bit. So I think a 32oz nalgene would fit in there but I'm unsure if the pocket is tall enough to securely hold them. I thought they looked a bit low towards the front because they have a angular design meaning they go from low to high if your facing the front if the bag. The prototype had insulated bottle holders much like other backpack designs. I'm guessing they wanted to make the most compact bag but still be able to hold plenty of discs/stuff so they narrowed it down.
