Rating question

Ok so my wife and i played in the same tournament yesterday in the windy rain. She shot one of her best rounds ever. She shot an 88 over 27 holes the last round and i shot a 83 in the same round. Her round rating was a 930 and mine was a 910 and i shot 5 strokes better. How is that possible? Happy for her as she won womens advanced but shouldnt my round rating been higher? Amy and Gary Canter on the leaderboard.

Were there shorter tees that her division used or longer/different tees for your division?

Rated rounds are dependent upon other players' scores in that division.

^Not true. They are based on everyone who played the same layout. And the +52 from par would be for all 3 rounds.

Only if that division played a different layout from everyone else. Usually your rating is based on performance of all the people playing that layout that day.

Same layout and im not sure why she is +52. She shot +25 as they count every hole as a par 3 at Warriors Path State Park. Something is def messed up.

Yeah, I know that bit. But as Gary said, it must be wrong because he shot evens for three rounds and is not 52 ahead of his missus.

The plot thickens...

Looks like the TD might not have entered the 27-hole R3 layout with an 81 par so both the over/under par numbers and unofficial ratings are off.

Those are still unofficial results, i'm sure it will be fixed prior to being made official. Lots of times with multiple round tournaments, especially ones with different courses throughout, the ratings are WAY off for the unofficial, but correct after official update, which would be May 21st I think?
