Traverse City, Labor Day Weekend

The only time me and the guys have to get out for our trip this year is Labor Day weekend But hey, we are going to make the best of it. We will be camping in Traverse City this year since Flip and Mason County are all tourneys all weekend.

I know that Carly's Playground and Hickory Hills are musts, and we will be playing the crap out of those. I see other courses around TC. What are some courses that we should get out and see around there. We don't want to drive extremely far, maybe an hour tops. Driving is a waste of valuable DG time lol.

Any tips, avoids, must plays, anything info would be appreciated! Thanks!

Carly's playground is worth a couple rounds if you have the time and don't mind the hike. There are two tees and two baskets on just about every hole so you have a lot of different options. There are also at least a couple fun downhill bombs there. I didn't get to Myles Kimmerly, but I've heard good things about it and it's not too far from there.

Cool thanks. I forgot to mention that we will be up there for 4 or 5 days so we will be playing a lot. Last year we did Flip, Beauty, Beast, Goliath, Leviathan, Branstrom, and Whitehall. We averaged 72 holes a day for 4 days there. Our plan it to go all out again!!

Just looked up Myles Kimmerly and we will definitely be playing that. Looks nice

I've heard good things about the Suttons Bay course which is a great spot for chilling even if you're not dg'ing. Oh, and it's brand new.

I have only played Hickory Hills and Myles Kimmerly in that area, but Myles Kimmerly is a lot of fun, definitely worth playing. My family is currently in Michigna road tripping, and I am hoping to hit Carly's playground. Will check back if we do end up playing it.
