Headin to Cincinnatti end of Feb...

So, i am going to be making an extend weekend road trip to the cincinnatti area. OUTSIDE of Idlewild, Lincoln Ridge and Mount Airy. What are the must play in that area???? Keep in mind i will be coming from Green Bay, Wisconsin.

There is a new course in Goshen that is getting good marks? I've never played it i've heard that it is a lincoln ridge type of course. Also, in dayton they have the HAH Course that I hear is pretty challenging have yet to play it either though unfortunately!

Both of the courses ripper mentioned are fantastic ... if you dont mind throwing with a 1st year rec player I'd be happy to show you either or both.

I also really like Gulley although since it has grass tees it can be sloppy after a good rain

Another course that is kind of close and has a fantastic front 9 is Hueston Woods

again though ... Goshen (osage grove) is where your money is at right now.

From WI, you'll likely be coming in on I-74. It's kind of a DG desert between Indy & Cincinnati. Once in town, the second-tier courses in the region south of Dayton (after the Big ...4 !) are probably (clockwise around the outerbelt) Harbin, Monroe, perhaps Turtlecreek or Gulley (and a really special nine hole course in Mason), then out to Williamsberg, & south to AJ Jolly. Most of the rest are another tier down, except Cabin Creek, which is unique and open only on a limited basis.
So after the Big Three plus Osage Grove, it depends a little on where (& when) you're staying. These are each worth a play!

fyi: the Ice Bowl Krazy Series finale (C-tier) is Saturday 2/23/13 at Lincoln Ridge (Banklick), so if you want to meet a lot of locals and play a couple of tournament rounds...
...conversely, if you want to avoid that, well, there you go.

Yeah, thanks for the heads up on the Tourney. i will have to get to lincoln ridge on Friday then for sure. Curious, why all this hype about osage grove and yet no review???
