Ken Climo 4x Glow Rock- What throws like it??
So I have one of those 4x USGDC Climo Champ Glow Rocs and it throws amazing backhand, forehand, whatever.
I hesitate to play with it though because its a sweet collectable. Any ideas what I can get that throws like it? I assume theres nothing to match it but if youve thrown one, maybe you have a similar disc to suggest. My main middies now are a couple old school elite-z wasps and a titanium wasp (which is the closest to the 4x Roc IMO). |

Sounds like the roc3 might be close. It's supposedly straight and stable but less stable than a wasp.

'04 usdgc champ glow battle roc - a tad more stable. every bit as great. the first year for that near indestructible glow mix combined with that particular uber flat rancho roc mold.
'05 usdgc 4x kenny roc - of course you already know about this one. this was the second year straight for the amazing combo of champ glow and the FLAT rancho mold. '06 usdgc champ glow hole 7 roc - flat ones are just as great. third straight year! roc 3.... not as stable. still a very fine roc. first runs elite z wasps - grab 'em while you can. for some reason the bead feels more pronounced on these wasps...

I replaced my rocs with an axis (for the broken in dx roc), and a neutron vector for more stable / fade (replaced my Kenny 4x). Can't say I miss em either

My ti wasps replaced my 4x but I could never get the same grip on that ti plastic so I sold them and went back to the Kenny.

Not only the flight. Everyone has their opinion on what flies like a roc, teebird, etc. Its also the feel. I love how rocs feel in my hand. Nothing can replace that.

And the plus side of going with them is that they don't cost extra like a Hole 7 will, and you won'thave to sstart searching for something to replace the Hole 7 when it becomes hard to find in a couple years. |
